Started WhatsApp competitor Simyo: sayHEY
Another app is pushing for the competitive messaging market, ” sayHEY ” Simyo wants to convince with encrypted messages and the integration of SMS users.
Competition for WhatsApp? The mobile operator Simyo has brought its own free messenger application on the market. The sayHEY app works on Android or iOS cell phones and the browser on tablet and PC. To use the app , you must be a Simyo customer.
How it works sayHEY
sayHEY integrated SMS and the internet free sent messages in one app. So users do not have to switch between different applications, but write all messages in a program. This is useful for example in an inactive Internet connection – here sayHEY shipped to a costly SMS . Also to contacts who do not have sayHEY or have no phone, sent the SMS app . In Android can be sayHEY as default SMS app set in iOS is not possible . About sayHEY can be when an active Internet connection free text messages, send photos and location coordinates. The phone contacts synchronized sayHEY only on request of the user with the stored phone numbers on its server.
Encryption on board
Simyo indicates that sayHEY uses an end-to -end 128-bit encryption. Thus, the new service raises aware on some competitors such as WhatsApp , encrypt the message adequately. It is questionable whether the encryption is enough to convince users of the app , which seems otherwise to be not yet fully developed. So far still lacking about the function to create group chats. The app is available only since the May 1, 2014 – the developers could thus quite still working on improvements. Users should be careful , in- app purchases to disable it if they do not want to accidentally send paid SMS to people who do not use sayHEY.
